Day Camp for Kindergarten, First and Second Grades

Dear Kindercamper and Parents/Guardians: 

Items to bring: sleeping bag or large towel for bed, swimsuit & towel; jacket if raining or cool.

We are glad you are coming to Kg, 1^st and 2^nd grade camp this summer!  A lot of activities are planned and we want to share a few with you now.

First of all, as each child registers, please give the staff the completed health form for the camper and any medication.  Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and will be assigned to a cabin.  A counselor(s) will be in charge in each cabin.  Bunk beds are in each of the cabins so please bring a sleeping bag or a large towel to put on the bed.  There is a rest time scheduled during the day and each of the campers will be required to spend a quiet time in their cabins.  A camp picture will be given to each camper at the end of camp.

Second, come dressed to have fun out-of-doors.  In case of rain, have your raincoat handy.  There might be organized games, a nature walk, a water sprinkler activity (no pool activities) and time for exploring the camp, so don’t wear your best clothing.  Be sure to bring your swimsuit and towel for the water fun.

A tentative schedule of events is also available for your information.  We look forward to seeing you this summer.  Be prepared to have fun, make new friends, see old friends, learn more about God and enjoy the camp.  If mom or dad have questions, have them call 217-726-7366 and ask for the camping secretary.

When your parents pick you up at the end of your camp, an evaluation will be handed out.  We welcome your feedback, as we attempt to make camping the best experience possible.  Either mail or fax the evaluation to us – we want to hear from you.
